The Art of Valentine’s Day Candy Hearts

This Saturday is Valentine’s Day. Despite its appropriation by greeting card companies, Valentine’s Day is, at its heart, really still about romance.  And there are no shortage of ways to be romantic.  You can pen a heartfelt card or pick out a gorgeous bouquet or hire a talented but reasonably priced skywriter to etch your words into the heavens.  But you can also go in a more classic direction and just do what you did in third grade:  give the object of your affection a small box of tiny candy hearts with messages on them.

These aren’t the same candy hearts you grew up with, though. In this bright and bold future, you no longer have to depend on the pre-made standard sayings conjured up by the candy companies. You can order your very own personalized candy hearts. Look, it can be a lot of pressure to come up with unique candy heart sayings all on your own, so we’ve created a few samples to help get you moving in the right direction.  Feel free to steal these and claim them as your own, but be warned, they will cause a person to fall in love with you pretty much instantly.
